Beverly Hills Chihuahua

My brother Davey spent the weekend with us last weekend, and our Aunt Babz sent Davey and Eli matching Beverly Hills Chihuahua t-shirts and movie posters (she works for Disney).

Eli's shirt is a little roomy for now, but he loves having a shirt with a "dog dog" on it :) Thanks Babz!

More Fishing at the Park

On Friday evening, we picked Ben up from the train after work and drove over to the park with the fish. Eli was excited about the pliers that we needed to get one of the fish off the hook:

And I even caught some fish :)

Scarecrow Festival in St. Charles, IL

On Friday we went to the 23rd Annual Scarecrow Festival in St. Charles, IL, which was about an hour and 15 minutes away from where we live. I thought the scarecrows were really creative - below is a sampling of some of them:

Eli LOVES pumpkins and had fun checking these out:
They had a petting zoo - we didn't go inside the fence, but Eli was able to pet the sheep from the outside.
It was a fun festival, but SO crowded. I don't think I'll go again next year, but it was fun to see once!

Milwaukee

On Thursday, we went to downtown Milwaukee for a warehouse sale at Broadway Paper, which is in the Historic Third Ward. It was a fun neighborhood with cute shops and restaurants. Then we drove over to the lakefront to walk around a little.

Eli loved the fountains near the Milwaukee Art Museum and Discovery World.

There was an area of landscaping with trees that were just Eli's size. He loved walking through them.

The Milwaukee Art Museum is a really cool structure. They let us walk into the main corridor and checked out the view onto Lake Michigan.

I love all of the glass - there was a beautiful view of the lake.
Here's a shot of the front of the museum. It looks like a bird, and I think those wing-like parts to it open and close twice a day.
