Last weekend my Uncle Marshall, Aunt Alice and cousins Abby and Natalie came to town from Cincinnati for a visit, so we met up with them and my family at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
Eli and Abby in an underground ant hole -
I didn't bring a good zoom lens for taking animal pictures, which I was regretting once we got there. It would have been fun to get a nicer shot of this zebra - Eli was especially excited to find the zebras. They are such beautiful animals!
It was the an extremely humid day (88% humidity and hot!) and not a whole lot of wind. We stuck with it though and were rewarded with a tiny bit of wind at one part of the zoo that was closer to the lake. Ahhhh, relief!
Cute sisters -
Sour brothers... (sorry boys, but you were not cooperating :)
fun second cousins :)
You can see how hazy it was that day - the clouds were so low that the top of the Hancock Tower is mostly covered up. Hot and sticky, my favorite.
It was fun seeing family from out of town despite the sticky weather! Thanks for making the trek over here and for a fun day at the zoo :)
