Here’s Eli and Charlie before we left to take Eli to preschool on his first day for the year. These are so typical of the boys right now – I often give them each an apple to eat in the car and they’ll each eat their apple down to the core. They would eat fruit all day if I let them.
Eli was really excited about returning to the same Montessori preschool program.
Here he is after the first day with his friend Lily.
And Ava -
Taylor joined the bunch -
And Addie too (in the group with Miss Nancy and Miss Rebekeh):
Later in the afternoon, I came in after cleaning up lunch and found the boys sitting together on the couch. Charlie was watching Eli draw a lowercase b.
It is impossible to get a cute picture of both kids at the same time. I keep trying.
Later in the day, we were playing in the back yard and I was working on my photography techniques when we’re out in full sun, which is tricky light to take pictures in. Charlie cried every time I pulled the camera out :)
Charlie preferred that I hold his hand and help him go down the slide rather than stick my camera in his face…
Experimenting with haze/sun flare while the boys explored the yard with a big ball and broom.
Charlie just wasn’t in a picture-taking mood.
I picked up this Trek tricycle from a yard sale last month – I got it for $25, but full price it costs $200! Do people really pay that much for a trike??? It’s a pretty big bike and has space on the back for another kid to stand and ride along (or sometimes I will put one foot on there and help scoot Charlie along on it. It’s heavy, so it’s a little tough for Eli to pedal this over the smaller trike that we have, but I’m glad he keeps at it.
Later, Eli surprised me by balancing on the bike seat :)
My last attempt at getting a cute one of the kids together -

Ahhh getting kids to pose together- it's impossible with 3! Your boys are so dang cute!
What lens do you usually shoot with - length wise.
Your boys are so cute- even when they're not in the picture-taking mood! You've made me want to bust out my camera and take lots of pictures. If only I had your skills!
Your boys are so cute! I am sure Eli was super excited to go to preschool!
