We had a full, fun Labor Day weekend, though I didn’t take a ton of pictures to show for it. A lot of these were when we were in between activities, hanging out at home.
Charlie LOVES trucks like this cement mixer:
Here’s Eli making a play-doh oven – we were working on his fine motor skills by hiding small objects in the play-doh and then he would dig them out.
Charlie was so cute the other day – he loves this little rocking chair in his room and often grabs one of his favorite books and reads quietly. I love how he was propping the book up with his little foot :) Charlie loves anything to do with Thomas or trains. Here he was reading, The Little Engine that Could.
Here’s Eli in the bigger rocking chair that we read to Charlie in before he naps or goes to bed at night. My Gram gave this to us and we love it.
Here’s Eli’s cheesy grin :)
On Saturday morning, I threw the boys in the bike trailer and rode to the farmer’s market with them while Ben jogged next to us. It’s about 1 1/2 miles to the market, and Ben had just gotten home from playing soccer for two hours, but he’s training for the ward 5K coming up this weekend, so he wanted to get some extra exercise in.
There were some fun art booths on the perimeter of the farmer’s market, like this one with the stools. Eli thought they were so cool. The big ones were $125!! We didn’t come home with a stool. :)
It’s a big farmer’s market, with about three or four rows of booths/stands from farms in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. We love picking up tomatoes, peaches, blueberries, peppers… yum!
We spent the rest of the weekend watching the BYU game, going up to my parents’ house for a bbq, and having a picnic at the park with friends. It was nice to have that extra day to do fun things with Ben around!

What a great farmer's market--we go to the Venice one and it's all food. You'd think Venice Beach would have arsty booths?
Love the pictures of your boys.
