Eli's 1-Year Picture

I finally scheduled an appointment to get Eli's official 1-year picture taken. He was miraculously free of bumps and bruises, and while it took a LONG time for him to warm up to our very lukewarm photographer (we were at Picture People), another photographer came over to get him to smile and it worked! This boy is always on the move, so it was a little tricky keeping him on the backdrop...

Official 9 Months Picture

Tonight we met my family for dinner at the new Frontera Fresco - a quick walk-up style restaurant run by Rick Bayless (he has the PBS cooking show One Plate at a Time). It was pretty good! I had a coupon for a free 8x10 at Picture People, and there was one nearby, so I figured I'd attempt a quick photo shoot for Eli at 9 months. I think it turned out pretty well for being at 7:30 p.m. when he usually goes to bed... :)

I was deciding between this one and another one where he was standing up, holding on to a stool. I probably should have gotten that one - don't you just hate buyer's remorse?! I know I can go back and pay the $15 (I have a coupon for more prints) for another 8x10, but I really just wanted my free print! Here's the picture:
