Neighborhood Animals

I’m a big fan of enjoying other people’s pets. I’ve included pictures of the kids with this cat in the past – Eli loves this kitty so much and she comes around on a regular basis. Eli’s latest name for her is, “Rain Kitty” because she loves to be in the rain. He loves telling her stories…

Doesn’t it look like the cat is fully engaged in the conversation? :)

Sometimes it seems like he’s sharing his whole life story to Rain Kitty. She loves it.

Wait, are you listening, Rain Kitty?

Maybe if I get down on her level, she’ll keep listening.

After the kitty was tired of his stories, she ran off and Eli resumed playing with some sand.

The other favorite neighborhood animal friend is Leo the dog.

Sorry for cutting your hand off, Eli :) He was pointing at Leo.

Eli loves the idea of Leo. He has gotten a lot more comfortable with him lately and often asks to go see Leo next door. Last night we went over there and Eli was so sweet with him. Leo was so sweet in return. Eli loves when Leo does tricks.

Charlie loves Leo too. And Sasha, who scooped Charlie up after showing us her tricks, including a very impressive backbend.

Sasha picked up Eli too as we were about to head home. I realized later that I didn’t get any shots of her brother – we’ll get some next time.
