Favorite bread machine recipe

We ended up buying the cheaper bread machine - the Sunbeam. I love having fresh bread! Here is my current favorite recipe for regular white bread (though I mix in a little whole wheat) - it makes a 1 1/2 lb. loaf.

1 C. warm water
3 Tbs. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbs. olive oil
3 C. bread flour (I usually do 2 C. bread flour and 1 C. whole wheat flour)
2 tsp. yeast

Put into bread machine in that order - and voila! It's ready in about 3 hours. :)

one of these days I need to get a new bread machine and start making bread again, instead of bricks (like the one I have now does)

Yum, warm bread. I don't know what it would be like to have that treat at my house...
Does purchasing bread at Great Harvest when it's right out of the oven count?

Hey! I finally tried out your bread recipe this morning and it turned out perfectly. I used all white flour but next time I'll try the whole wheat swap you mentioned. This will be replacing my previous favorite white bread recipe. Thanks for sharing. It's delicious!
