Today is our 8th wedding anniversary! Ben and I got married in the middle of our junior year at BYU, in between fall and winter semesters, in the beautiful Bountiful Utah LDS temple. It was a wonderful day! One of the funnier moments included me locking our only set of keys (I had lost the other set that week) in our car at the luncheon, so Ben and his brothers spent a good chunk of time trying to open the door with a hanger through the window.
It snowed the day before our wedding and it snowed the day after, but we really lucked out on the actual wedding day. Our reception that night was up the mountain at Snowbird, so we were lucky the roads were clear and it wasn't TOO cold... though I'm not sure what I was thinking having short sleeves in the middle of December :)

My parents are watching Eli for us in a few weeks so we can have a nice dinner in the city, so we'll celebrate officially then. It's funny how before Eli arrived, we usually planned some sort of quick getaway, whether it was staying overnight in Chicago or San Francisco (depending on which family we were spending the holidays with that year). Tonight we're just as happy to spend the evening at home, with Eli tucked into bed and the snow falling outside (Ben's out shoveling as I'm typing this).
It's hard to believe we have been married for eight years - I feel lucky to have such a sweet husband and darling little boy!
Happy anniversary sweetheart!

Happy Anniversary!!! (and I'll try not to complain about our cold weather anymore :-)
Ok, I really can't believe it's been 8 years. I totally remember you guys getting married! Y'all were/are still so cute. And your face in that first picture is priceless. Happy Anniversary!
I remember well your wedding. I loved the dress you picked for the bridesmaids to wear. I wore that dress to my first-ever Winter Formal high school dance with a date :) I also remember that the store we bought the dress from sent me two... strange...
I remember the cheesy potato soup at the luncheon was awesome... and I remember feeling bad because Ben didn't get any... I think you two were taking pictures at the temple while everybody else was eating?? What's up with that???
Anyway, of course the best part was getting our Sarah. Our family wouldn't be complete without you.
Congratulations! Isn't it funny how the celebrations change when you have little kids and are VERY pregnant? :) Your growing family is darling and I'm so happy for you guys!
Happy Anniversary! Hope you had a good evening at home. We were out on a grocery shopping run last night, too, with our big storm (at least big for Oregon) coming in today.
On colors, we've picked lots of them lately and some I like more than others, but it's always hard to choose. Our contractor did Sherwin Williams, although I think you can match with any paint company. We like "Escape Gray" which is sort of a grayish green that we used in our master bedroom, or "Celestial" which is a fairly bright but not too obnoxious blue that we used in our playroom.
Happy anniversary you two! We're all about celebrating with a relaxing evening at home. Hope you enjoyed it!
Happy Anniversary! We are coming up on 8 too and we also got married in the Bountiful temple- good choice!
Sarah! I hope you had a wonderful anniversary! You guys are great and I actually remember the night you guys met!! You are both perfect for each other and I love you guys!
