Eli loves animals, so yesterday we went on a last-minute outing to the Lincoln Park Zoo.
He enjoyed seeing everything from warthogs...

he tried to chase geese just behind this fence
and watched polar bears swim
He attempted to pull his hat off several times
Sunglasses were as exciting as the animals
(we saw many more animals than are shown in these pictures)

Looks like you guys had so much fun. And I'm glad Ben could go with you. Did he not have to work yesterday? I can't wait till Katelyn is old enough to take to the zoo. It will be fun!
Fun! That Eli is just too adorable. And as for your previous post - poor baby! He just looks so tired. Definitely keep us updated on whether the noisy neighbor keeps it down in the morning. Good luck with that!

It looks like you guys had fun! I'm jealous of that polar bear exhibit - for such a big city Houston's zoo is pretty small. Eli is looking so big and I can totally see both of you in his little face!
Oh, your pictures remind me how much I miss Chicago! The Lincoln Park Zoo is just the greatest!! And it's FREE?!??! What more could you want?

oh, man!!! I want to go to the zoo almost as much as I want it to stop raining already!!!! Great photos Sarah. Eli is so expressive. I bet he LOVED every minute of it. Kaelan loves animals, he would be so fascinated.
We just took Jack to the San Jose zoo....there were about 5 different kinds of animals. Not the greatest zoo. We will have to head to San Francisco for that. I love the picture of Chicago up against the lake.....makes me homesick!

The Lincoln Park Zoo is one of my favorite places of Chicago. We should go there for playgroup...
