Icicles

Here are some winter scenes from our house this morning - the main attraction is the massive collection of icicles on our back porch:

There are a few that are HUGE!

Here are our trash/recycling bins outside in the alley
(would you like to drive through all of this snow? My Altima is not a fan)
Here was my snowy path from the garage to the house this morning after some snow last night (no, I did not shovel... it's all waiting for poor Ben tonight when the low is -10 degrees... yuck)

Tomorrow's forecast - SUNNY! Whoo hoo. Too bad it will be practically arctic:
High: -1 degree
Low: -13 degrees
This is officially the coldest winter Chicago's had in eight years.
Thank goodness it's not the norm!
Tomorrow I have another doctor's appointment. Fun times... thanks for voting on the names! Keep your votes coming :)

Wow...have fun with that high tomorrow! That's crazy. Although I'm disappointed my favorite name isn't doing so well, I think the blog name 3 men and a lady is genius :-)!

I am so in the market for a snow blower. When will it stop? I am cold!

Sorry to say, but even the norm for your Chicago winters are AWFULLY COLD! I don't even know what minus anything feels like, and I don't really care to try!

I was so excited to see those icicle pictures. I was just telling Aaron yesterday that I have been wanted to see icicles for a long time - we never got them in Provo, even though we sometimes got snow. And the ones I have seen, in Tahoe as a child - they weren't Nearly as HUGE as the ones in your pictures! How long where they? I'm impressed.

So pretty! Although I admit I've been a little frightened of icicles since a couple fell on me off the roof of our Orem duplex... Seeing pictures is much safer. Thanks!

Oh man, those are such big icicles. And your post really made me glad that I'm not living there in Chicago this winter. I miss all of our friends there, though. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. And get as much sleep as you can right now.

At least they're pretty. Too bad it has to be so cold to get them. We've had two days of single digits here and it has reminded me of Chicago days. It takes a brave heart to get through those winters.

Sarah,

Apparently I was logged into my sister's blogger and I posted a message through her- that last one is from me!
