Sell your Books at Powell's

I thought this post at the Unclutterer blog was really interesting - it talks about a way to reduce your book clutter by selling your books to Powell's online. You enter the book's ISBN and the site offers a price for the book. If you are happy with that price, you'll get prepaid media mail shipping labels to send the book (for free), and then you'll get store credit. The only downside to Powell's is that the site offers free shipping (when you then use that store credit) on orders of $50 or more. I am a big fan of Amazon's free shipping w/ orders over $25...

And a side note on the free shipping - this site lets you search only for items w/ free shipping at Amazon, eBay, Best Buy, etc.: Free Shipping On

Powells is the largest bookstore in the USA. And it is right here in Portland. The store itself, takes us one full city block. It is the COOLEST bookstore ever. One of a kind. Their website wins all sorts of awards. When you come to Portland this summer, I will have to take you there. It is alot of fun! I love to read, so it is especially fun for me. They even have RARE books.

We love Powell's! It was our favorite thing about living in Oregon. We tried to get up to Portland and Powell's as often as possible. Most of the neat antique/used books Sam own are one we found at Powell's. So fun. Next time you are in Oregon, you have to check it out, Sarah.

I love your new blog header! Thanks for the tip, I love the idea of Powell's, I gave away so many books before we moved here and I still have shelves full! It sounds like the store in Portland is awesome.
