Typing Test

I think it's fun to test your typing abilities. I took a few typing classes in high school (called keyboarding then) and I had a few jobs in college that required fast typing (I got my locksmithing job originally b/c I could type the lock codes in super fast - I did a lot data entry at the beginning of that job... then it progressed to lock installation/repair - way more fun!)

Now, typing skills help a lot with my newspaper reporting - when I'm doing a phone interview, I type my notes while the person is talking so I can get quotes right. The only downside is my keyboard is noisy so they can hear me clicking away...

**I am still laughing about the Charlie Bit Me video a few posts below... now any time Eli tries to bite me I exclaim, "Charlie, that hurts!" in my best British accent. His fifth tooth emerged this weekend and I think a few more are on the way...
