I had a first trimester screening test today - everything looked good in the ultrasound. I love seeing the baby's hand in the picture below - he/she was moving around quite a bit and it was fun to watch!
Thanks Mom for watching Eli during the test! He was a disaster at my last OB appointment, so I opted to not take him to this. Eli really has an aversion to doctors, nurses, or anyone who is dressed like one... someone suggested we get him a toy doctor's kit so he doesn't cry every time he sees a stethescope :)

Congratulations! It's always refreshing to see the baby, especially this early in the pregnancy when you can't feel them moving around yet. She/he/(it?) looks beautiful already!
We made your cilantro marinade last night (yum!) and we're making your squash and spaghetti tonight.
I never took Adele to the OB when I was pregnant with Samuel. (Of course, I had the benefit of living with her aunt Deeb). It is MUCH nicer to go without your toddler!
Although, Adele's last visit to the doctor, I tried to "role play" what they would do so she wouldn't be as scared. So when we got there, she insisted I do everything, like take her temperature (which was fine, they let me). But it didn't work when she wanted ME to use the doctor's stethescope!

Cute! and by the way, I LOVE your house. I'm so excited for you guys and Eli has got quite the set up with that backyard. I'll have to call you soon so we can catch up.

Kids + OB = Nightmare (especially if you have to undress from the waist down). Avoid this scenario at all costs!

It is so neat when the baby really looks like a baby. I won't get another ultrasound till 20 weeks, and that seems like such a long time to wait. Glad everything looks good.
